The Event will be based again in  Altthymen haus, http://www.altthymenhaus.de/

The cost will be  € 45 euro/ day, full board. The nearest airport is Berlin

We had a great experience during this Event 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity to paint in the old, East part of Germany, and immerse yourself in paint :) . Places are still available, if you would like to join us let us know.

Hi Nickolai,

I'm going to bring a couple of small frames, but it would be great if there was a possibility for an oil frame 30 X 40cms in whatever style you use yourself.   As long as a watercolour frame is plain or limed wood with a light mount, it should be suitable.  In watercolour I'll be painting 30 X 40cms and a smaller size, about 23 X 28cms.

We will manage.  By the time we are finished I'd say we will all have loads to choose from, and will fit whatever frames are available.

And thank you Nickolai.  You are so thoughtful.  I'm counting the days until we all paint together!

NIKOLAI thanks a million for all that about the frames I am thinking of going over to Berlin for a couple of days with Philip my friend,  in April, I  will bring some frames with me, and perhaps buy some paints canvases  etc in  Peters art shop . Perhaps I  could leave that stuff with you or marko or Maike till the event in may.it would  save me carting a load of stuff  over in may. I will let you, Maike and marko know and whoever could store the stuff for me, I could perhaps meet up and leave a parcel of my stuff with them.

I see we have a girl from Spain coming this year S gonzalez,  looking forward to it now.

Hi George, Nikoli..I'll bring my gear over, and anything I can't , I might post.. and thanks a million for the thought..Hope preparations are going well !

I'm going to send a parcel (panels and frames) in advance this year too, Karen. Cheapest I can find so far is DPD (not cheap though at €4 per Kg. If you find anything cheaper, let me know - An post is off the scale altogether!

I'm going to ship painting panels and three frames in advance, Nikolai, so I should be OK.

Thanks Michael..will do..I'll see how my packing goes :)

I just won't have any clothes!

I'll have to wear loads of clothes on the plane!

Think I'll need to bring a crutch.  The other knee needs doing now, and I'm NOT spoiling two summers in a row.

You'll be OK in the woods, Valerie! Only wildlife down there!

You would Know Michael :))

:)

About the wildlife: some bastards shot again a wolf in this region :-(

@ George: Do you know meanwhile what sizes I shall order?

@ Valerie: I have a heavy wooden frame 30x40cm. The matt sizes from the wooden frames with glas are:

19x29cm and 29x29cm

@ Louise. Do you already know the day in April you'll be in Berlin? I could drive you to Peters Art Shop and after this I'll take your stuff with me. How long will you stay in Berlin?

@ Michael and Karen: I suppose you'll send your stuff directly to Altthymen.

Hi Nik thank you so much,      we are thinking around the  21 St till 26 th of April. I will let you know for definite very soon, we will be on standby for the flight and may have to get a later one in the day. But there are two flights every day to Berlin  from        Dublin  and  back from Berlin. We can make arrangements when I know definite date for shopping at Peters, the paints looked very good value. And lads if any of you guys want me to go shopping for van gogh paints for you let me know and I can leave them there for you, with Nik or Maike or marko. You can lookup the website for Peters  shop online. Just a thought!! Cos we all would have liked to get there last time if I remember rightly.
