Hello you all – Dear Karen -

I will explain what we have organized -

A.

The artists work from 26 May to 2 June in and around Altthymen.

On Wednesday, May 28, there is a Paint Out in the Lake District (Carwitz) by a Free Bus . (Krueger bus tours) and a visit of my nearby Solo Show in Dabelow – 2 km away

The new works could be exposed in the church of Altthymen (Future Altthymen e.V.)

An expert jury will award the works of the artists on Friday, 30 May. Jury: Bodo Neumueller, Matthias Schilling, both Local Painters and G. M. Meyer from the Sponsorside

Opening and Award Ceremony found on 31 May, by 15 clock in Himmelpfort.

The Gallery in Himmelpfort will take 30 % when a painting is sold and we will send you the works back for free, – it would be good to leave the exhibited paintings there and in the end we send all the irish paintings to you karen?

Following a public BBQ Festival there.

The exhibition runs until July 30 and is open daily 10 to 17 Clock

1 June Closing Party with BBQ in a loam Oven in the Garden in Altthymen !

B.

You could do at the beginning just a Berlin Visit – you could leave your luggage in the Central Station and from there you could walk to the nearby government district, Gate of Brandenburg, Reichstag or to the Modern Art Museum Hamburger Bahnhof -

i think a short visit at the beginning and at the end you could do a second tour before starting flying home

so you know Berlin just a little bit and in the end you could visit sth special

C.

here is the missing sponsor report:

I will give you all an original poster and some of the flyers

Williamsburg, Skütr, Ampersand and Vang will sponsor Prices for the Awards

  1. the Gold Medalist will get a big Williamsburg Oil Set 350 €, a Bag from Skuetr, Clayboards from Ampersand and A4 Books from Vang

  2. Silver Award gets a middle Oilset 100 €, a Bag from Skuetr, Clayboards from Ampersand and A4 Books from Vang

  3. Bronze Award gets a small Oilset 50 €, a Bag from Skuetr, Clayboards from Ampersand and A4 Books from Vang

  4. All others are getting some A5 Books from Vang

For the Plein Air we get some Material: everyone gets a WB Sample Oil set – then we get some bigger Oil tubes as common colors to use and a common Oil Pigment Sticks Set and some Artliners – everyone gets 2 good Vang Brushes- everyone gets a View Catcher – a small Ampersand Sample Set – A4 Vang Scetchbooks in Watercolor quality – acrilic sample sets from Golden and Lasqaux – maybe Aquasoft Watercolors – and i will ask for some turpentine

i think that is not bad for a first Plein air -

We have a common Room to use – all so for painting sessions – maybe portrais

Hey at the moment is this my basic report – please ask, if sth is needed

Do you want to send material to Altthymen?

Time is coming – All the Best Hugs - Marko

Fantastic Marko! You'll have us all spoiled with free stuff. We'll need bigger suitcases going home!

Thanks Marko..Anyone with questions please let us know, in case we missed anything ?

- I know the Irish crew will be traveling from early morning, but it would be good to have a short stop in Berlin before going further, and again on our return ...how do others feel..is there anywhere in particular you'd like to visit  ?

- I'll forward you an address Marko, to send paintings back too

- sponsored awards and materials look great !

- love portraits :)

All looks great, thanks Marko !

There shouldn't be any problem bringing linseed oil on an aircraft. Still if a small bottle can be purchased locally, it will save on baggage weight. I usually just use the paint straight from the tube after an initial turpentine block-in. So just turps and white spirit for me.

Oh my goodness this is getting so great. I can't believe the work you and your team have put in its amazing!! Yes I have brought linseed oil to the states even, I just put it in a hotel shampo bottle thesmall ones , no bother!! Its not dangerous that's what I will do as my usual plan.

How does everyone feel about seeing some of Berlin, if so where in Berlin ? ..

So as everyone is bringing their own linseed, there's no need to supply it Nickoli .

Remember if you require, it's still possible to post gear forward ( It's a bit expensive for me)

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering are any of ye going up to the airport the night before our trip on 26th, or are you driving up real early??

I suppose we will have to be there two hours before, we CAN check in online but we will still have to go to the bag drop any of us who ARE checking in a bag, (I am anyway )  etc, Its just that Monday mornings are very busy with all the commuters.

Oh and don't forget the rules on bags with Are Lingus have changed for flights within Europe since Jan, it used to be a standard 20 kilos  € 20 each way, now, you can book various sizes, they cost different prices. I booked a 20k one for myself because I know how much capacity I need for a week.

You can also check and drop your bag the evening before if you wish at the airport between 4pm and 8pm because the flight leaves so early in the am, but that means two trips to the airport.

Here is the link for your choice of baggage size........................ http://www.aerlingus.com/travelinformation/baggageinformation/check...

I will think about it anyway and see whats happening with the rest of ye.

All the best Louise.

I'm going to take on the early drive, Louise. Happy to give a lift to yourself and Karen. I think the flight's around 7-00 am, so that means leaving here by 3-00 am. Not much point in doing an overnight in Dublin, because you'll still be up at all hours. Not sure what George is doing - maybe we could all travel together, but that would mean leaving Wexford even earlier.

early or earlier..not much difference :) Thank michael, I'll take u up on that. I need to book another bag I think too
