American Artist Don Maier runs the mothership of plein air painting sites; Plein Air Artists (http://pleinairartists.ning.com). In 2009 Don selected 60 works from among the site's best paintings and set them into a short slideshow designed primarily to interest galleries and buyers... Here it is.

Great standard and variety of work and quite an undertaking selecting 60 works from the (then) 600 artists - of course there's almost 3 times as many members on Plein Air Artists now.
Looking forward to Art in the Open and to meeting Don and many of the other painters there.

I forgot to mention that Don will be coming to Ireland with his artist wife, Suzie, to take part in Art in the Open plein air festival in Wexford in July.
