Michael McG. put me onto Scott Burdick s work, brilliant intense colour .I felt my own painting lacked impact. The Slade piece was painted in overcast conditions but with a 5 min. flash of great evening light .So,,, I found a harbour scene by Burdick and tried using his sense of strong colour to repaint the origional. It was a learning exersise. The origional plein air study is now gone.I am left with a bolder painting in some ways but i still have a fondness for the former. Its a learnin curve

Is this an enlargement/ development job in response to the latest Scannell/Diaz Challenge? If so, tell us about it. How big is it and what were you striving to get out of it.
Howay, Paul, give us a hand, man!
