Your Site For Artists Who Paint Outdoors

Better than freezing the nuts off your easel.

Further to the earlier blog experiment, in which I posted some non-plein air drawings done over the winter, here are a few paintings done when, if braver, I'd have been out painting in the cold.

Tony W. in the RHA drawing rooms. oil on canvas 40 x 60 cms.

'Lisa: Light and Shade'

Model Leaning. oil on canvas 40 x 30 cms.

Drowsy Wexford Afternoon. oil on canvas 45 x 60 cms.

Lamplight. oil panel 45 x 60 cms.

Catherine reclining. oil panel 40 x 30 cms.

Spotlit model. oil panel 20 x 25 cms.

Hi Tony, good to hear from you. Love the blog and the paintings, to say nothing about the very clever name! Yes, I am looking forward to getting back out there and painting en plein air but have not yet braved the Irish storms. Have put a few feelers out to some people in KAG but as yet, no takers, so meanwhile, it's back to the studio to revise, renew and re-organise (it's that time of year - Spring cleaning - help!) Hope to get a few entries up on my page shortly too!
