Charcoal and Water Colour on A2 paper. The title is a reference to the Arcadian landscape in which Castletown
House is set. Does anyone know the name of the river which runs from next to the house down to the Liffey? This was painted from the bridge.

The main river is the Liffey, Patrick - great when there is a big flood when water is let out from Pollaphouca or golden falls (blessington and ballymore euastace). It is terrific to see it in full flood anywhere along the liffey valley.
dont know off hand Patrick but Ill find out as we live closeby, the Rye runs through Leix where it joins the liffey - great free sketching as usual from you
Have no place yet!!! Probably Enfield
Thanks Pat. Hope to see you soon. Good luck with the preparation for your expo. Where is it going to be.
