Thank you for the wonderful comments! Yes, I do believe it is more difficult to capture the subtlety of something like that sagebrush unless you get to do it from life. Doesn't that hold true for so many things? I can't wait to come to Ireland to do the same thing!

I love the subtle colour variation in the foreground sagebrush (never seen the stuff IRL, just in paintings!). One of those things which can only be captured accurately by working plein air. Good stuff, Marsha!
