Oil on panel 9" x 12". At the local Steam Rally was an outdoor forge and some farriers demonstrating their skills sending sparks flying and raising plumes of smoke. The figures and bellows I drew looked a bit lost with a background of burger vans and roundabouts so I sketched an imaginary shed around them. Hence, the shed is a bit ropey - and probably owes more to John Ford's 'The Searchers' than any real Irish smithy.
