appreciate the comment, John, and can empathise about the grey  To be perfectly honest that's what I was trying to paint and this is what came out.  Obviously I was not painting what I saw but what I believed to be there. Everything was in tones of green-greys not blues but it was a relatively clear day. Like your programme for 2012  might see you in April.

Lovely painting Sally  - you saw more of the view than I did when we went there on our plein air paintout last September - it was a grey day, light rain all the time, but a few of us persevered - talk about mixing greys in the rain - the oil plus rain all ended up as emulsion!!
