Thanks Pat and Meg. It was a lovely trip starting from the Austrian border and travelling down along the river Adige to Merano, Bolzano, Trento, Lake Garda, Mantova and finishing in Verona. My only regret was that I didn't get too much time to paint all the lovely scenery I was passing!

Dear John Beautiful work .....our son Shane's partner comes from this region of Italy...in a town called Treviglio near Bergamo and Milan...I have painted there this year ...i envy you..Lombardy is a farming area and I spent a lot of my time with these lovely folk who made me an honoury Alpino
