Painted this one because I loved the pose of the statue (Duke of Rutland). Leicester Market is over 700 years old and the buildings surrounding the market are beautiful in their none uniform shapes (it is a shame that the lower ground shop frontages ruin the actual buildings).

Thank you Jeni a Norah.  I love painting people but I agree it is so nerve racking painting amongst people (especially when I have no set route of painting and no idea what will happen).  There is a brilliant art shop in the market call Gaddesby's.  I have been visiting that shop since I was a kid!!!

Hi Linda, I love the beautiful muted greys and your brushwork makes the people look as though they are moving. Nice composition. If I remember right there's a good art shop nearby?
