Since I finished my second painting by about 3-30pm, I decided to go for a third one, but couldn't see anything nearby that interested me. So I decided to explore the upper part of the village. About a half hour later, not having found anything, I was on my way back down to the river, when this view stopped me in my tracks.

Thanks Nuala. Yes, this one proves that it's always worth spending some time having a good look around rather than rushing in to paint the obvious (like my first two).
Thanks Norah. I'm beginning to think that the best time of day to paint is around the time we usually stop! Luckily I stuck with it this time, and the light was even more dramatic a couple of hours later.
Thanks Jane. Yes, it was great to paint on a day with continuous sunshine.
Thanks Karen, but I have to admit that I drove!
And of course you didnt just do any old painting but a masterpiece at the last hurdle - the light catching the top of the house and the bushes is just fantastic, love it

Your getting fit Micheal..if you made it up that hill!! ...worth the effort though - love this!
