Oil on board, done very quickly on location on a primed board (burnt sienna/red undercoat). This tree used to divide two estates in Westmeath at bog in Delvin and I think Mairn means boundary

This is a captivating painting. The tree, even in death, has such graceful lines and complementary colours between land and sky work perfectly to balance the composition

Beautiful colour and textures in this, the burnt sienna adds beautiful warmth and depth.
