Love Bob Dylan songs, play them on my guitar all the time! It is amazing how once you start painting outside, how you suddenly find more and more subjects that you never thought could be subjects. The most mundane, ordinary things can be viewed as a painting subject, made unique and beautiful by your focus on it.

Just been browsing through a lovely book by UK artist Pamela Kays who does mostly gardens and still life (and plein air) but she has a couple of clothes lines from her garden which she did in the winter (her DVD is inspiring also) - you have made me look at my garden and neighboourhood as possible painting subjects so thank you :)

A really nice concept, can't wait to see the finished piece.

I almost have my lantern piece done. It took me the three weeks of classes, so I didn't work on it any at home, except a tiny bit here at the end. I will try to take pictures tomorrow. I feel like I got the lanterns to glow inside the dark old barn.

I'm ready! Or the "close-to-home" challenge...paint things right around the outside of your home.

Maybe we should set up the "clothes - peg" challenge??????????

:) I kept my distance. Although I think at least one of those pants or shorts probably already had paint on them from previous painting times. I seem to find paint here and there on a little bit of everything. It gave me an idea of putting out some really bright pieces of cloth or sheets, and really going wild with color!
