This is the first oil sketch I did on-site of lit up lanterns hanging in an old barn, in Staunton, VA. I am working on a larger version. Really a lot of fun to paint!

I am almost finished with the larger version. I did all except a tiny bit at the end, on-location. This was really fun. So different, and to find it outside (well, technically inside, an old barn), it was just magical.

You really captured this in a lovely playful manner. Great work. Large version will be wonderful.
