Event Description

Meet Ardgillan Castle cafe at 11 and 3.

In Ardgillan the bluebells , are blooming this week
It's time for us all inspiration to seek
Hundreds of thousands, all swinging their bells
Or hushed in their glades, like monks in their cells
Meadows of azure, pale violet and blue,
Your palette will render, the colours so true
With contrast and highlights, and Windsor and Newton,
Us covered in spatters, and none with a suit on.
Scones at 11 and your fancy at three,
Hoping to see you, that's if you are free.

EH,

There once were two poets of Boyne

Who'd boldly bash out a rhyme

In paint they would colour

A glade in full flower

Somewhat better than moine

NO not Mr Yeats but your bluebells got me goin' and your rush to poetry really got me goin'.  Maybe others will be touched by the muse.

Dear Sally your poem is a joy to behold

In iambic pentameter and rhyming so bold,

With me wondering and wandering - all of the fates,

I can see  you're inspired by the great Mr. Yeats.

Though Sean is cold with wandering

Through Rosse Demesne and Cavan lands

He has found out where they’ve gone

And perspicaciously has waved his wand.

And now bluebells are all the thing

And bells are what it’s all about

He’s named Ardgillan as the scene

Ant it’s to be our next paint out.

I'll be there but no suit on......?Mmmmm
