Event Description

Because of dreadful rainy forecast for Saturday, I am changing to Sunday with everything the same , except that we meet in the Bracken Court Hotel at the usual times of 11 and 3. The Bracken is 100 metres Dublin side of Molly's on main street.

Balbriggan and Environs this Saturday, 13th June.  A town with some exotic architecture from thatched to Gothic, a user-friendly harbour with   colourful fishing boats, meandering reflections at  high tide and wonderful compositions  at the ebb.    Beach scenes beside it and the ubiquitous Martello Tower in the area. Meet Bracken 11 and 3.

I'll be a bit late as I managed to leave my paintbrushes down by the river in Sonairte.  I rang them, and to my delight they rang me back last Tuesday to say they'd been found.  So I have to go there first.

Thanks for looking after our best interests Sean.  I'll do my best to be there on Sunday but I doubt I'll make it for coffee.

Sorry Sean, but Sunday doesn't suit me. Hoping to see you all the following week and happy painting!

Looking forward to that and hopefully we have this good weather we are getting now!

Well done, Sally - with your usual perspicacity.   Here it is in the middle of Balrothery from Google Street.

Sean, I found it!!  It is in the village of Balrothery.  From the road to Balbriggan turn right as if going to the Balrothery Inn.

Turn left . (The Inn and large car park at front will be on your right.

Continue past row of shops - Cost Cutter, Dee's Gents Salon!!, Pop In, Chipper. Go through the little roundabout and the house is on your right!!

Thanks Sally for your encouraging remarks.    The photo for this thatched house is listed as having been taken in Balbriggan.  I wonder on what road?
