We had a great experience during this Event 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity to paint in the old, East part of Germany, and immerse yourself in paint :) . Places are still available, if you would like to join us let us know.

Been studying, studying and this trip would be a lovely reward for getting through the year. But I would be interested in staying in Berlin as well and maybe going for 4 days to the countryside to meet up with Marko and friends. Hope that would be ok with Marko we did meet and chat a few times in Wexford and would love to meet up again. :) Alison

I'm sure that would be fine Alison. Message me the dates you'd like to join us, and we can confirm with the house :)

yes - hello allison - for me it is although very ok - i confirm with karen for the dates - at the moment i am knocked out by kung fu with a contusion of my left sides upper ribs - it hurts really awfull

hi des - yes let us have some beer together - very very good - join up when you are here in old berlin - best marko

Hi will coordinate with you guys nearer the time, end April beginning of May. Have graduation show in May so will be very busy till then. But looking forward to the trip. :) Alison

I have a question to all participants:

Do you know what sizes and formats will you use during the painting trip? I suppose a lot 8x10", 10x12" and 11x14"

Do you paint also on cm standards, like 24x30cm or 30x40cm?

I'm asking because, with Marko we discussed the option for a »painting show« on the last evening. If all paintings are only on boards, it'll be hard to hang them.

I plan to order some frames from Scszecin for myself. My idea is, to bring some frames there for the last day and everybody could borrow some frames for his works.

Hi Nikolai,

I usually work on 10" x 12" and 11" x 14" for plein air. But I'll probably limit myself to 8" x 10" for this trip as I'll be bringing a smaller and lighter paint-box and tripod.

I'd like to see that system, too, please.

Hello my friends - i have good news - with the idea of our plein air in north brandenburg i can open doors for us - together with angela i found a good place for an exhibition in Himmelpfort - a very known and wonderful place not so far away - we get a vernissage with some prices - exhibition minimum is 4 weeks - i met a lot of people - the major of fürstenberg was although very interested and will help with the assurance for the exhibition - a lot of new contacs to ask for sponsoring - a lot of work - but it is beautyful to create a new possibility for a plein air north in brandenburg as a every year happening - and the people there love the idea - I could although get a church nearby for a solo show - really only 2,5 km away from our place - for next year we can get this place for the group show too - and we have the desecrated church in altthymen - it has a wonderful part without roof and a inner open space with green lawn - very nice - inside the house we can expose our fresh work every day and have some beer together - the mayor of altthymen will take care the church in this time and we can leave although an later exhibition  - wonderful news - i am so happy - and we will create a small open air bar, called "the oak bar" at our house - greetings

This is sounding better and better Marko!!!
I love the idea of the open air bar where we can relax and chat about our day's painting each evening!!!
You sound very excited about your creation of a new event in plein-air YOUR invention !!!
Thank you for sharing all your good news with us
Louise
