I thought we were friends already on Plein Eire. Does this mean that after all this time of being nice to you it was not necessary? If only I had known! Well I suppose its a bit late now so I better just carry on as before!
Tony - just checking back to see if you got my email about staying in Wexford. I already applied and was looking for an end date so I could see about adding on a couple more days at the end--or beginning. Hope all is well. I'll be seeing your Mayor and a few others in Annapolis next week.
I will try not to totally disappear! I like your painting style - very fresh and impressionistic. It's amazing to me that you all paint in winter when it is so cold. This talk of gloves with the finger tips cut off...and I think twice before going out to paint in "sub-sixty" weather.
HI tony, Jane meyler told me you have attended the RHA life drawing. I myself am considering attending and want to know if their setup is any good there.
Thanks Tony.....not good to leave it too late. Pressure! Would never have gone into that soggy garden only for the Challenge. Am grateful for that....even those of us who are painting for a long time -we need a push.So out you go...............!
Hi Tony, thanks for the warm welcome. It's pretty chilly here too as I live at a height of 1,500m. It was -5º last night and max 5º today and snow above the village. But it all looks very pretty with the sun shining.
Hi Tony I'm back from hols will send you re easels tomorrow. On another matter, I'm running a workshop this weekend, a participant Carole Cullen is a member of Pleineire but is asked to sign in each time, but the window won't link succesfully - I've seen it happen. She has tried it in Dublin on her computer and in Cross on her IPad, both do the same thing. I'm not asked to join in this way when I access www.pleineire.ning.com - can you help her, she's very keen to be actively involved. her email address is carolebudd@gmail.com - you could email her directly if you like. John
Hope its not too early for life painting notices (but what a summer!), but I just posted an event for Aug 19 by mistake, the next posting is is for Aug 27/28 and is the correct one - can you delete the earlier, mistaken one?
Mostly 12"@ 12". Paints took little time to get used to. Able to build a painting in a different way. Probably suits my choppy style. However there is none of that tactile pleasure from oil paints. I think it frees the mind to concentrate on the subject matter .Would I use them again?
