Plein Eire

Your Site For Artists Who Paint Outdoors

A grand day out by the banks of Bannow Bay ..... See for yourself -

Notice how these two pros avoid the sunlight falling directly on their paintings by turning 90 degrees from their subject, turning to look and back again to paint. Its not ideal but sometimes its the best option. ...Sure, you couldn't be up to them!

Louise Tracy and Annie Cahill. " By the way, did I mention that I'm going to the Plein Air Painters' Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada with most of the world's top outdoor painters? ....zzzzzzzzz"

- Of course, I'm only jealous! So is everybody. But 'Jammy' Jane Meyler and 'Lucky' Louise (our plein air picnic hostesses - these girls know how to party!) are heading off to the plein air olympics with a veritable who's who of great painters on a trip of a lifetime and flying the flag  for Ireland and Art in the Open 2012. Good luck from all on Plein Eire. - There'll just be no stopping them when they get back.
