Thanks Norah, I enjoyed doing this it brought back nice memories, and it looked like that on the night as well.
Kyrle what a beauty, I could look at it all day, really wonderful expressive use of watercolours and love the blues and gentle violets in the skies
Thanks Barry, . I remember it as being very like the watercolour above on the night my Wife and I returned from Torcello, with that ruin lit up in orange from the setting sun, and a deep blue and purple sky over Venice.
This is stunningly nice Kyrle. it has a heavenly quality of some great beauty emerging from the mist that forms in the background along the horizon. i love your choice of blue(s) in the sky and the buildings are done in a tone that compliments everything else.Really nice.
Kyrle, I think this is one of the best I've seen you do. Great control of colour, perspective and light. Amazing.
OMG Kyrle this is beauuuiitiful. The buildings on the horizon are so delicately suggested and the steeple and its reflection break the horizontal perfectly. You do a great job of the old monastery with that spot of light hinting at a more noble past. Wonderful colours and strength of tone for the building. Lovely all round.
Out on the Lagoon all day with this one, Madonna Del Monte, a deserted Island silting up.
