The Derry painters had there fourth paint out on easter monday too the Isle of Doagh , we where joined by Mary Crowly. The day and the area where at there glorous best, plenty of sun and the waves where high and crashing on the rocks creating some fantastic scenery to paint. I got two 20"x16" paintings, one took over two hours to compleat and the other less than an hour with a palet knife, I was under a time constraint as I had to be somwhere else shortley. Last Sat, Apr 9, saw the Plein Eire season really kick off with a joint outing with Plein Eire Dublin group and Dublin Painting & Sketching Club, members and anyboby who wanted to join in to get a taste of what painting and sketching out of doors is all about. Just had a month in the \RV Hospital having 2 bones removed from my neck - so unlikely to be much involved until I get the harness o-neck brace off.- any longer I'd have have been paralysed from the neck,How many of us know the condition of our neck bones I wonder? It took an MRI to find out just in time.. Realism or pessimism I'm not sure _ Cant wait to get back painting again, Thanks for all the kind comments

This week we will be visiting the Christchurch area of Dublin, St. Audeon's Church in particular and the lovely but little known St. Audeon's park. Meeting at 2pm outside St. Audeon's Church, we can spread out and sketch what is of interest in the area and then meet up again at 4pm. For coffee, we will go to the Bull and Castle nearby.
