Thanks Norah, Deirdre and Dee. Yes, Norah it was a nice short trip for 5 days and I did the Verona and Venice trips from Riva. I did a quick 20 min painting in Venice, but had to close the book while it was still wet and run for the boat. Left an interesting effect!

Thanks Sally and Caroline. Sally, it's a touch of Primary Blue Cyan in a pocket set of Maimeri watercolours. I often mix it with French Ultra Marine to get darker cold but luminous colours or add a touch of Alizarin Crimson or Burnt Sienna to create the warmer dark colours. This painting presented a challenge with so much white in it from the snow peaks and the structure of the boat, so I had to be careful not to lose the whites.

This is wonderful, John.  Its so fresh. Is that a bit of Prussian Blue in the shadow of the mountain.  Brilliant!  And the burnt Sienna? on the funnel of the boat - perfect.
