Plein Air group in Dublin area. Paint-outs on 1st Saturday of the month (weather permitting) plus other events as members decide.

Membership is free and open to all abilities.

Plein Eire Dublin Paint-Outs

A 'Paint-Out' can be arranged by anyone. Even an impromptu session can be posted here if the weather is promising and you have an afternoon or a morning to spare. We try to meet regularly. Just decide on a time and a suitable venue and post a notice on the group page and 'Events'.

Time and location to be posted in advance both on "Plein Eire Dublin" and "Events" pages on this Plein Eire site.

RSVP on 'Events' for notice to be sent to you in the event of any change in plans or check this Plein Eire Dublin Group page on the morning of a paint-out .

Nominate a time and location with reasonable painting prospects.
Identify a local cafe or hostelry for artists to meet in before and after.
Indicate if there is parking available nearby, and if its free or metered.
Post the suggestion to 'Events'and copy and paste the link to the Comment Wall below on this page.

Members may also propose paint-outs at other times as suits them and ask for other members who may be available to join them.

Hope to see you at Farmleigh tomorrow for Plein Eire Dublin's inaugural Paint Out. Hope you enjoyed week's sunshine because, as forcast, Saturday sees a change to cloudy wet weather. Hopefully the rain may have passed by 12noon. I'll bring my sketching (ie golf) umbrella and we can all huddle underneath it! I have a spare artist's umbrella I can loan somebody if they wish to use it. Come prepared! - Best, JOHN/087 2709097

Comment by James Moore on August 27, 2010 at 10:51: Hi John I think I met you in the botanical gardens once as that watercolour of the glasshouses looks familiar - I was one of the Dublin Sketchers. Anyway it was a great buzz down in Wexford and will make it down there from time to time but now that there is going to be a Dublin plein eire group aswell I'd love to join it.
