Plein Eire Dublin Paint-Outs

A 'Paint-Out' can be arranged by anyone. Even an impromptu session can be posted here if the weather is promising and you have an afternoon or a morning to spare. We try to meet regularly. Just decide on a time and a suitable venue and post a notice on the group page and 'Events'.

Time and location to be posted in advance both on "Plein Eire Dublin" and "Events" pages on this Plein Eire site.

RSVP on 'Events' for notice to be sent to you in the event of any change in plans or check this Plein Eire Dublin Group page on the morning of a paint-out .

  1. Nominate a time and location with reasonable painting prospects.
  2. Identify a local cafe or hostelry for artists to meet in before and after.
  3. Indicate if there is parking available nearby, and if its free or metered.
  4. Post the suggestion to 'Events'and copy and paste the link to the Comment Wall below on this page.

Members may also propose paint-outs at other times as suits them and ask for other members who may be available to join them.

Hi all,

Only I turned up for Dec Paint-Out, but I persevered and got something done. Keeping going thru the winter makes the spring and summer all the sweeter when they come!

Anyway, lets keep going, The next first Sat is Jan 1, so why dont we on this occasion say Sat Jan8th, at same place, Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Courtyard Cafe? Lwt me know what you think!

Best

I am sorry John, I was looking forward to the Botanic Gardens Venue, but I will not be able to make it this Saturday after all.

As it happens I am now free but as it is snowing here in the midlands I doubt very much if the roads will be passable tomorrow - hope you got those photos I sent you John

Hi Plein Eire Dublin members!
This Saturday, 4th Dec, we meet in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin at 11.30 for our regular first-Sat-of-the-month Paint Out. We'll meet in Courtyard Cafe, which is thru the left doorway after the entrance. Come hail, rain or snow, I'll be there to keep anyone who turns up company. They might let us draw in the glass houses. An opportunity perhaps to do a seasonal painting for the Plein Eire December competition - as I'm sure the snow will still be thick on the ground. Hope to see you there! - Best - JOHN O FLYNN

Hi all, We had six participants at this month's regular (first-saturday-of-the-month) Paint-Out of Plein Eire Dublin at the 12th Lock (on the Royal Canal) at Castleknock, D14. Weather almost held off and it was a fruitful outing. We agreed to make next month's Paint-Out for the first Sat, on 4thDec, to the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin where there is plenty variety, and shelter too, if required. Hope to see you there. - John O'
