My apologies for that Valerie.    I accept full responsibility.   I had booked a number of tables ( I have witnesses!)   but the waitress took the booking tabs away  as the number increased.     Then no  reserved notice, and  someone drifted to our table  and upset my calculations.    So we all went to the snug off the main pub.    At my suggestion      Where we had much hilarity, craic and anecdotes.    Someone  unkindly suggested that it was  more anecdotage! than the former   and I'm inclined to agree with them .    We  in fact were in the snug , off the bar, where m book club meet once a month.    Valerie, again, my fulsome  apologies.

I was there but I missed ye!

Arrived late (around twelve) so I went straight to Howth.  I was painting until five and there was nobody at the Marine when I went there.

Ah well - I had a good day anyway.  I did a painting of the Abbey Tavern.
