Hi Daniel, if i can help, id be glad to.One thing I love to do now is just look at paintings, in galleries or on the net.I just type in watercolours in images, google and see what comes up. Or printmaking or landscape irish art or whatever.Ive found loads of artists to look at and one that you like leads to another.I hadnt done that for a long time, now im always looking and researching, always makes me want to grab my paints and get started. Also i sketch a lot, i try to draw or paint something everyday even if its small and work fast, you can get great results, good luck.
Hi Daniel thanks for the comment on me painting, love to get to Galway to paint, may meet up some day, all the best, Barry. You can see other pics on www.barryedwardswaterfordartist.blogspot.com
hi daniel,
see...its quite easy really to join up.thats the hardest part over, now all you need to do is join a group, turn up on the day and paint.no pressure at all.so looking forward to catching up in the new year.in the meantime, keep the brush busy, stay in tune......chat soon.dee.
Hi Daniel
Glad you made it! Unfortunately, the main pleineireWest paintout programme has finished for this year - although there's a facility for anyone to publicise a proposed outing and see who takes up the offer. If there's a few likely days of reasonable weather, you could post a suggested venue and see who turns up. John
Kincora painters is our newest group. Its free to join. I think you just 'declare an interest' and you are in. Do that and they will let you know when and where the next paint-out will be. Plein Eire West is run by Cong artist, the excellent John Dinan. You need to apply to join but again, it is free.
You can also run a 'Search' in the members' list of artists to see which artists list Galway or Clare in their profile so you can contact them. Or if these methods don't suit, simply post an 'Event' saying Daniel Reynolds will be painting at such and such a place on a particular date and time and asking anyone who cares to join you to use the RSVP facility and let you know. Its as easy as that. We suggest a good idea is to nominate a cafe to meet up in 20 minutes before the paint-out is due to start. Its a good ice-breaker and gives you a chance to get the introductions out of the way before you begin.
Best of luck.
Hi Daniel,
Welcome to Plein Eire.
