Plein Eire

Your Site For Artists Who Paint Outdoors

It was a beautiful morning in Rosslare yesterday, without a cloud in the sky. So I had great plans which involved several beach scenes. However, the weather gods were laughing at me again because it clouded over after about 45 minutes - just enough time to capture the overall light effect in this scene - managed to finish it on site mostly from memory.

It's oil on 11" x 14" MDF Board.

Thanks Rene. I've just made some minor changes to it in the studio - probably will look the exact same when I photograph it!

Beautifully soft and warm. You managed to defy the pesky weather gods!
