I've painted the lighthouse down there so often, that it has become a challenge to find something different to paint. Sometimes I turn my back to it and paint something else altogether. But on this occasion, I happened upon this cluster of "sea-pinks" mixed in with other yellow flowers beside a path at the edge of a cornfield (that stuff in the bottom left-hand corner is my best effort at suggesting what I think was young barley). The painting is really about the flowers and grasses rather than the distant lighthouse, which I deliberately handled loosely with soft edges.
It's oil on 12" x 16" MDF Board.

Thanks Deirdre. I was on a roll for a few days. Then I just wore myself out!
Beautiful work Michael!
