I did this piece last summer on a great painting trip to Mt. Shuksan..about 3 hours north of Seattle. I did a larger studio painting from this and got a Best of Show in an exhibition called "Meadows to Mountains". The judge and I both agreed that this plein air piece was better than the studio piece..but the studio piece, being much larger, got the award.
