I did this little painting last Wednesday at Ladies Island. I had planned to paint some sand dunes at Curracloe, since the morning started off warm and sunny. But it clouded over quickly, and the only part of the sky that remained clear was the real "Sunny South East", that little rectangle formed by going about 7-8 miles North and West of Carnsore Point. And of course, fifteen minutes drive later, there wasn't a cloud to be seen! I was immediately drawn to this scene by the strong contrast between light and shadow.

It's oil on 10" x 12" Oil on MDF board.
