w/c on SW 200lb. rough. 12in. x 6in. Ventured out today a little way from home to the Glenville Road. Spotted these sheep in the field in front of the first house on my right as I walked and thought they would make a good subject. Enjoyed the peace and stillness as I worked. Isn't painting such a lovely and rewarding pastime.

Lovely painting here Kevin.  I love your handling of the trees , those differing trunk angles and tones are very convincing, the big dark one is striking as is the grass also. It has always amazed me how you put in details like fence rails, bare trees etc with such a light touch and in such a way that they are not obtrusive.  Well done as usual, another beauty.

Re myself gouache and steering wheel gadgets: its Graham I was talking about , the gouache was to do with the sketch in Norah's attached Video Link..

Many thanks to you all for your kind comments. Not my first outside Penny, did one last week.  Cheers Cathal was happy with the greens as it's a colour I struggle with.  Norah it was indeed very peaceful while doing this. Lovely just to hear the birds singing. Sally, thank you for your comment re my Caledonian Pine, was quite chuffed with the 'green' I found for it by mixing Winsor Blue and Burnt Sienna.

Lovely Kevin,  i like all the things Cathal and Norah have remarked on. I also like your Scotch Pine in there at the back - a great tree to paint.

Oh well done Kevin! You’ll treasure this one as your first one outside during lockdown!
