Pen & Wash on Hahnemuhle A4 sketch book.
This was on the opposite side of the Bunclody/Carlow road a few hundred metres from the one I posted yesterday. Loved everything about it, had to draw it.

You are bringing back memories of my first job working in a petrol station, just love it and so glad you captured it so beautifully Kevin
Ah cheers Kyrle, I'm delighted this little picture evoked such fond memories for you. I can see exactly what you mean regarding the frontage and I totally agree. I wonder what stories it could tell us. If buildings could talk eh?
Kevin This is once again a ..a little peach!. Beautiful watercolours and the usual stunning drawing. I love the sense of history it evokes in me, It may have been a small cinema, or perhaps a dancehall at one time, My namesake uncle Kyrle had one just like this called the Rio Cinema in Buttevant. It was first a British Legion Hall, then a Cinema which doubled as a Ballroom of Romance, and finished exactly as this one... a Garage! The frontage was almost identical.
Thank you John, couldn't resist it, the more quirky the better.
Another super one Kevin. Lovely variation in your tonal values to complement your superb draughtsmanship.
