Your Site For Artists Who Paint Outdoors

Last Sunday, SEPA members took advantage of the great weather to arrange a paint out in sleepy  Screen, a Wexford village which
the Celtic tiger appears to have overlooked. It is an Irish Brigadoon.
This impression was reinforced by the hayfields about the village, some
cut and dotted with cylinders of hay while others in yellow splendour
awaited their turn.
The village itself and the varied views from it kept painters (
Karen, Karina, Kevin Lewis, Louise, Michael McG,Neil, Paul, Tom and Tony R.) within yards of each other
well supplied with different subjects although Paul Maloney preferred
to try the beach at nearby Ballyconnigar and was equally pleased with
that, as his paintings show. Meanwhile, the murmur of bees mixed with
the drone of a hurling match commentary in the afternoon which ended
with a pint in Freddie's bar to round off a good day.
Some of the paintings made are already posted.
