With lockdown taking its toll on all our painting opportunities, you might feel this is the year to grasp whatever chance comes your way. Sky Landscape Artist of the Year, a kind of bake-off for artists, is a free to enter competition, and there aren't enough of those. Furthermore, LAOTY is, along with its sister portrait competition, Sky TV's most popular arts programme, guaranteeing you far more exposure of your art than any major exhibition, should you be chosen from a single, digital photo entry.

The deadline is fast approaching, officially Friday at noon, but on good authority, apparently having youir submission in by Sunday night, 2nd May will still allow you to enter.
