Well she certainly got a critique from someone and I hope she is not sensitive. After reading that I went searching for the author of the question but couldn't find any links or see the work they were trying to sell. I think to sell art you need a business partner :) or otherwise when would you get time to paint ? It seems you have to be on facebook, instagram, twitter, have a blog and lots of followers and try to get galleries interested as well as doing the hard graft of selling yourself in places like Merrion sq or Peoples Art ? I think I remember Robert Wade giving good advice - dont give up the day job.
There's meat and veggies in this link and it could repay several revisits as there's a lot of advice and options to absorb. Thanks for posting, Sean. Have you any advice to give?
Thanks Norah and administrator for your comments. I don't much about this myself, except I would assume that lesser-known artists should be selling online under the umrella of a much bigger site -something like Ebay for paintings.
I find that painting magazines give relentless information on composition and colour mixing etc., but very little about selling online or about people who have successfully done it.
