"Plein Air with the Prismatic Palette"; Half-day Workshops in Oils.
Joe demonstrates how he uses the pure hues of the 'prismatic palette' (ie. without earth colours) to achieve rich and varied colour, especially greens which many artists experience difficulty in mixing and handling. On painting, Joe says, 'You must have humility to receive the world, yet have the ego to face a blank canvas and believe that you can add something to it', USA. Joe works outside and in his Minnesota studio and paints an extremely wide range of subject and urban, rural, marine, wide vistas and intimate street corners all engage his attention. Joe Paquet urges artists to 'paint what you know well as what you see'. A Signature Member of the Plein Air Painters of America, The Salmagundi Club and an Out-of-State Artist Member of the California Art Club, he has won many awards for his work.
