Event Description

A chance to paint either cliffs and crashing seas or beach scenes in this one little part of Co Wexford that resembles the rugged West of Ireland coast. No facilities at the beach or headland but there are shops, and a couple of pubs /restaurants in Fethard-on-Sea, just about a mile up the road.

Directions:- Take the main road to Hook Head (off the Duncannon line road). When you get to Fethard, go straight through the village. Take the third left after the village (not the second, although both may be signposted for Carnivan Beach). About a quarter mile down the narrow road, there are a couple of gravel carparks on the right overlooking the beach - we'll meet up there.

Comment by Michael McGuire on May 12, 2012 at 15:53: A few people got lost last time, so make sure after you go through Fethard-on-Sea to take the third left, not the second (he second left will take you to Baginbun Beach, which is on the opposite side of the headland to Carnivan Beach, and nowhere near as interesting for painting).
