Gaeltacht Thiar Thir Chonaill, paintout in DUNLEWEY.

This Saturdays paintout is in the old deserted village of Dunlewey.or locally called Duń Lúiche in Irish.Its sits right in the poisoned Glen at the foot hills of Errigal and  on the shore line of Dunlewey Lough.The name Dún Lúiche means "fort of Lugh" an ancient Irish God.Folklore has it , that  Lugh slew Balor on this shoreline and as Balor lay dying the poison was said to seep from his evil eye, hence  the name"The poisoned Glen.

There you will find a treasure trove of sights to delight your palette, waterfall, lake, cottages, deserted village, rivers, livestock, errigal,  reeds, etc etc...with plenty of shelter up and around the deserted village in case it rains.

Great turn out weekly since xmas guys, keep her lit .

Meeting up in roartys Garage cafe on the main rd at 11 am for coffee and chat then  back to colls for lunch at 3pm.
