The paintout on Saturday, 15 February 2025 is Glengesh viewing point in the Glengesh and Mulmosog mountains, on the R230 connecting Ardara with Glencolmcille. Glengesh means the valley of swans and it is a stunning glaciated valley indeed that you can view - and the drive there is quite exciting too with windy bendy roads.
We will be meeting at 10am in Charlie’s West End Cafe (F94 YVF9) on Main Street in Ardara (Drumbaran) on the N56 and make our way from there, a drive which takes about 15 minutes.
It is still winter though spring is just around the corner, it might be hiding a wee bit so be well prepared for the cold with scarves, hats, gloves, wooly socks, layers, hot water bottles… And bring along a light lunch, hot or cold drink, chair and of course your art materials or whatever you want to spend your time with. All are welcome to come along in body - and mind.
