I have a question.  I know this may be different in different countries, but if anyone glues canvas, cotton or linen, to some sort of board, what kind of glue do you use/suggest?  Thank you!

Karen - here`s what I do when making painting panels. Good quality hardboard, one side
is shiny the other is rough. Cut it to size. Cut your canvas to size ( a little wider all-round than
the panel). The glue I use is good quality PVA glue. Spread the glue on the rough side of the
hardboard using an inexpensive bristle brush or even a large palette knife, making sure it is all
covered - especially the edges. Lay the canvas on the panel. Roll the canvas with a hand brayer or even a rolling pin, to expel the air bubbles. Trim the excess canvas, and keep rolling
until it is smooth and free from bumps. Leave under weight over night!
Well I've used dry-mounting ( I'm a framer so I've got the gear) and its very handy but PVA (white glue) is what we use. But I've read in the States you have the wonderfully-named 'Miracle Muck' which,well....how could you NOT use it...?
