The DPSC and Dubs Plein Eire sounds a great idea. If you post it as an 'Event' you will reach still more members. I was going to 'feature' it but realised it isn't listed except in the commentary on Dublin Plein Eire. Still a good idea to post your paint-outs on 'Events', even if the first Saturday of the month is, within the group a regular date, as more people will read it.

These beach and boat scenes are beautiful--some are reminiscent of Japanese prints

Great collection of paintings and some iconic locations, John. I especially like some of those N. County Dublin ones - up at Balbriggan and Skerries etc. I can see a Dublin Plein Eire paint-out heading that direction next year for sure?

With your 3-day life-drawing sessions I thought you'd eat one of those marathons for breakfast. Was there a good crowd at it? I did one last November and was impressed with the standard of participants. Most were full-time artists. But they've had a few since then and perhaps there are less as its quite expensive if you aren't in Dublin. I drove up and down most of the week and that part was certainly a slog.
Regarding the weather, you are right, sometimes its best just to be hardy and 'go for it'. Often its not as bad as the forecast and then if some turn up and you don't, its not good.
That's why I recommend using the 'Events' to post and urge your group not only to RSVP (Yes/Maybe/Not Attending), but to check in there just before leaving home in case of any last-minute changes. You can send a group email to the whole group, or just those who have confirmed they will attend. But, of course, there's no perfect solution. After a few paint-outs, you can pool mobile numbers and that's always a good way to keep in touch.
I'll post about Roundstone for next year if I hear any more from John on it.
PS. Thanks for the two extra paintings.

Hi John.
Delighted to see PED seems to be taking off. Best of luck on 4th - its to Farmleigh? You know you can post that as an 'Event' if you want to. That allows you to stick a Google map reference, Farmleigh website or other info and it also encourages members to RSVP, so you have an idea how many are going to turn up. That allows you to contact those all who have responded in case of a last-minute change of plan, traffic advice etc.
SEPA have arranged to head to Cahore in N. Wexford on the 5th. The forecast for that weekend isn't as good as today, though. Still, what do they know?

Some beauties there, John. Thanks for posting them. Some look like oils but others look to me like pastels. Drmanagh, Summer Eddy and the St. Anne's Park Meadow would be my favourites amongst them all but the leaping dog on the beach at Rush is a lovely touch. What are they painted in?
