Phil....checking the wind direction in Passage East June 3rd!
It was such a pity the weather was cold, however the trip was worth it, to take time to have a look at Passage East, as usually, I would drive straight through!
It has loads to offer and I'd be in favour of a return trip this year in better weather.
It's about a 5-6 minute crossing from Ballyhack to Passage East. We decided to bring the car, as we needed shelter that day, at a cost of E12 return. Our morning was spent drinking tea , and then having lunch, in attempt to keep warm, and with the hope that there would be a break in the weather...Finally we decided to paint from the car, which wasn't so bad..though it felt a little cramped.
On any other day i think this would be a gem of a location to paint... colorful houses, plenty of boats and a long stretch of coastline close by, and of course the ferry coming and going. Hope to get back there again soon...
.........a couple of strange rules though !!
Phil, karen and Anastasia O Keefe, braved the elements on the day......brrrrr
