Plein Eire

Your Site For Artists Who Paint Outdoors

The three paintings that I posted here today were from a trip to Zion which Jane Meyler and I made after the Plein Air Convention in 2012. It was difficult to keep a flow to the work as the heat literally sucked the moisture out of the paper. Luckily I had a spray bottle to use this did help and I would advise anyone painting watercolour in warm temperatures to have a spray bottle to hand it really helps. Zion and some of the parts of Utah I have painted in,are absolutely amazing, if you ever get the chance to go there to paint  TAKE IT !!!   Be talking to you next time!!!
