This was one of three paintings completed in the Heritage park Ferrycarrig Wexford, a few weeks ago.

I really enjoyed the day there, with other members of SEPA.

My aim was to try to capture the play of shadows as they changed and lengthened very quickly through the afternoon.

This was the first painting begun around 1pm and then the other two were sketches completed in about 50 minutes each.

I like the loose feeling achieved in this trio, the time and light constraints prevented me "pootteling" (don't know how to spell that but you know what I mean)  I think this lack of detail resulted in a nice feel to the work.
