Here's an email I received from our friend  Don Maier yesterday. Don runs Plein Air Artists, the long running sister site to Plein Eire, and also Artist de Studio.

Subscriptions made to both these sites are being donated to The Red Cross, following the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. A good way to renew your membership, or join ..and support our friends across the water.

From Don :

"I think I just had a good, perhaps a great idea. Yesterday I suggested that you join me in donating to the American Red Cross. With that in mind.... starting right now and running until 12:00 noon EST, on Sunday, Nov.4th, "All subscription payments of $10 for the year will be donated to the American Red Cross". So if it is a new membership, or one that has gone lapse and needs to be renewed, I will donate your full subscription amount of $10 to the Red Cross. How's that? Pleinairartists is doing well, and we have plenty of members who have not renewed their memberships yet, and perhaps had not planned to do so. Here is a way to help out the hurricane victums and renew your membership in pleinairartists at the same time.  I would love to give them several hundred dollars on your behalf. So how about it? Tell a friend." Also, If you join our Artistes de Studio site between now and Sunday, Nov 4th at 12:00 noon. I will donate your entire $10 subscription fee to The American Red Cross for hurricane Sandy relief. Don Maier Disregard if you are already paid in full.
