Up From the Ballast Office. Quay Nocturne Paint Out 25.11.10 003

7" x 10" oil panel.
My nocturnal effort from the little evening paint-out with Karen and Kevin looking up Henrietta Street from Wexford Quay. (About 1 hr.)...better class this as 'an experiment'.

Regarding getting out to paint in the snow, I've been planning to do so for two days, but other things got in the way. So definitely tomorrow - if anyone is crazy to make it up to the "forestry lane" I'll be there between about 11-00am and 3-00pm. That's assuming I survice driving Helen to Johnstown and back.

Nice job Tony.

Very good, Kevin.
McBla...wasn't he one of the Glasgow Boys before opening a bakery in Waterford?
I didn't see the speed-painting-by-night outfit but I was fairly nippy myself in every way to get out of the cold - credit to Marc Hanson for the 'Nocturne Blue' ground colour tip which makes getting the hell outta there a good deal easier.

So...Anyone plan on getting out into the snow we just ordered?

Bla is a Waterford bread isn't it?...come to think of it this painting is as tasty as the pies you brought , to save us from hypothermia!! I could see the headlines, :
"Three freek'n fools found frozen"!!
love the color in this Tony..I think the cold sharpens the senses!!

The Scottish colour! That's priceless, Kevin! Great nocturne, Tony.

Nice one Tony. You were obviously right about finding shelter - looks a lot warmer were you were. A passerby who stopped to talk spotted you as well and he was wondering were we part of "that speed painting competition thing"!?
So there is a group in Wexford speed-painting-competitioning by night. The dark side... I wonder do they use bla.. (can't type it, let's just call it the Scottish colour)
