Thanks Debra, Meg, Sally - enjoyed doing this one. The grey showery day helped me keep the tones in harmony. Hope you are finding some success Sally. But I find with watercolour there is no way past the clichés - if at first you don't succeed............, and practise makes perfect!

Thanks Sean. Yes, that house has always attracted me and I never new it was a fort! Further up the road there is another house on the sea side of the road that looks like a converted Martello tower and then there is an old castle, which I have suggested at the end of the horizon line.
Lovely watercolour, John. I'm always intrigued with that almost fairytale building - remarkable that it was once a fort in the shape of a Martello tower.
