Thanks Elaine. When I arrived at Hook Head late morning, the sky was blue and everyone else had a painting under their belt. I got started...and a big cloud appeared. Next the rain. I ran for cover. Half an hour later I set up again in a light drizzle. I now wonder if the first abandoned blue sky version would have been any better. I quite like this battle-scarred one that had to be rushed a bit to beat another shower.

I love this one!  I really like the different perspective you have with it.

Hi Margaret, I painted this close up because Grahame Booth had just set up in there too. I thought, if I'm clever I'll steal his ideas. Not sure if that plan worked.

Just like Margaret, I saw Paul O Kane start on his Market Square painting. He put a large rectangle shape on the panel ,I thought the man was mad. So much for my sense of composition.

Paul I saw you do this" in your face" version of the tower & thought too close up! So much for my thoughts , this is amazing!
