Fabulous vantage point near Culleton's Gap with the best weather of the whole week of Art in the Open paint-outs. Tried and failed with an extraordinary, spectacular sky. Cloud nine is the one on the left.

I think the sky is done very well, Tony. The painting would have worked better, though, with more sky and less foreground. Just cropping the bottom quarter or so gives it a lot more impact.

I intended to get out there on Wednesday, even packed all my gear in the car, but then went to sit down for ten minutes and woke up two hours later! Thankfully, the festival induced narcolepsy has subsided at this stage!

This one is " alive " with light and colour. I think you should move to south of france !
